Email Therapy

  • Ask a question when you are most in need.
  • A degree of anonymity that eases the inhibition of therapy
  • More affordable than other online therapy types
  • See the Guidelines for Email Therapy for more information.
    EMAIL | CHAT | WEBCAM

Email gives you time to formulate your question or describe your situation with as much detail as you want. You can even add pictures, video clips or sound.

Email can be done "synchronously" or "asynchronously." With synchronous email, your therapist is waiting to receive your email and respond to your concern. With asynchronous email, your therapist therapist will respond within a designated timeframe, usually 24 hours.

The advantage of email is that it gives you time to fully process your thoughts and the therapist's response before moving forward.

The disadvantage of email is that you do not receive the immediate comfort and support that you may need.
